Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679

Pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679, also called General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the “GDPR”), SOS ARCHIVI informs you that your personal data (hereinafter the “Data”), will be processed in compliance with the provisions of the GDPR and any legislation applicable with reference to the processing of personal data in accordance with the following information.

Data protection officer.

The Data Controller is SOS ARCHIVI, with registered office in Viale Mazzini, 11 00195 Rome (hereinafter the “Data Controller”). The Data Protection Officer can be contacted at the e-mail address privacy@sosarchivi.it for information on data processing.

Categories of Data

The Data processed by the Data Controller include: (i) personal data (name, surname, age, sex), residential or domicile address and contact details (telephone, email address), tax code, information relating to professional activity.

Purpose and legal basis of the processing. Legitimate interest.

 Data of a personal and possibly sensitive nature, voluntarily provided will be processed for the following purposes, up to opposition:

  •  registration on the Site;

  • subscription to email newsletters;
  • sharing of content on the site;
  • generic request for information.

The Data will be processed for the fulfillment of administrative purposes related to donations and legal obligations, pursuant to art. 6, paragraph 1, letters b) and c) of the GDPR, as well as the pursuit of the legitimate interest of the Data Controller, in art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR, with reference to

  1. completion of all the phases related to the donation and / or adhesion to specific projects and appeals promoted by the Owner, including instrumental activities (eg: communications on payments, donation summaries);
  2. compliance with internal administrative procedures and compliance with legal obligations or regulations in force in Italy;
  3. the sending of communications of a commercial and promotional nature relating to projects, activities and fundraising initiatives, as well as surveys and research reserved for donors and other subjects who have previously expressed interest in the actions of the Data Controller, in order to raise public awareness of own projects for non-profit purposes.

In any case, the processing of your data carried out on the basis of the owner’s legitimate interest takes place, as well as in compliance with the provisions of art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR, also in compliance with the provisions of recital no. 47 and Opinion no. 6/2014 Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, par. III.3.1.

Processing principles

Your data are collected and registered in a lawful and correct manner for the purposes indicated above and are also processed with the aid of electronic and automated tools, including by entering and organizing databases, in accordance with the provisions by the GDPR regarding security measures, and, in any case, in such a way as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the Data.

Recipients or categories of recipients.

Data may be made accessible, brought to the attention of or communicated to the following subjects, who will be appointed by the Data Controller, as appropriate, as managers – whose list is available at the Data Controller’s headquarters – or as persons in charge:

  • non-profit organizations of the group to which the Data Controller belongs, employees and/or collaborators in any capacity of the Data Controller;
  •  public or private subjects, natural or legal persons, which the Data Controller uses to carry out the activities instrumental to achieving the aforementioned purpose or to which the Data Controller is required to communicate the Data by virtue of legal or contractual obligations.

In any case, the Data will not be disclosed.

Rights of access, cancellation, limitation and portability.

The Data Controller informs you that the rights referred to in Articles from 15 to 20 of the GDPR. By way of example, by sending a specific request to the email address privacy@sosarchivi.it, you can:

  1. obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed;
  2.  if a processing is in progress, obtain access to the data and information relating to the processing, as well as request a copy of the data;

  3. obtain the correction of inaccurate data and the integration of incomplete personal data;
  4.  obtain, if one of the conditions provided for by art. 17 of the GDPR, the cancellation of the data concerning you;

  5. obtain, in the cases provided for by art. 18 of the GDPR, the limitation of the processing of data concerning you;
  6. receive the data concerning you in a structured format, commonly used and readable by an automatic device and request their transmission to another owner, if technically feasible.
Right to object

Pursuant to art. 21 of the GDPR, you will also enjoy the right to object at any time to the processing of your data carried out for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of the Data Controller by writing to the email address privacy@sosarchivi.it.

In case of opposition, the Data will no longer be processed, provided that there are no legitimate reasons to proceed with the processing that prevail over the interests, rights and freedoms of the interested parties, or for the assessment, exercise or defense of a right in court.

Right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor Authority

The Data Controller also informs you that you can lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data in the event that it believes that the rights it holds under the GDPR or any other applicable legislation have been violated, in the manner indicated on the website of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data accessible at the address: www.garanteprivacy.it.

What is a cookie and what is it for

Cookies are small text strings that are saved in the user’s browser folders while browsing Internet sites and contain some information (indication of the server from which they were generated or the domain, duration or expiration date, a unique identification code, a unique value, etc.)

The browsed website sends the above information to the browser that creates the cookie, storing it in its directories. While browsing, the cookies that concern the site you are browsing are sent back to the server, which uses the value of the cookie for various purposes, such as, for example:

  • improve website browsing experience;
  • convey advertising messages;
  • acquire statistical information relating to user browsing, etc.

Unless otherwise specified by law, SOS Archivi cannot be held responsible in any way for damages of any nature caused directly or indirectly by accessing its website, by the inability or impossibility of accessing it, by relying on the information contained therein or their use. The Association reserves the right to modify its contents at any time and without prior notice. It assumes no responsibility for services offered by third parties with which the site has activated a link, and for any other content, information, or anything else contrary to the laws of the Italian State present therein. Furthermore, the indication of links does not imply any type of approval or sharing of responsibility in relation to the completeness and correctness of the information contained in the sites indicated.

The information on the management of cookies is not to be considered valid for other third-party websites that may be consulted through the links indicated above, for which the Association is in no way responsible. Some browsers (obsolete, less well-known, etc.) may cause compatibility problems and their pages or the various elements that compose them, features and other contents may not be correctly displayed and/or executed. For any problems, anomalies, discrepancies encountered during navigation, the user is requested to report and address any requests to the following e-mail address: privacy@sosarchivi.it.

Given the dynamic nature of the web, it is not always possible to be able to control the cookies that are stored (in particular by third parties) through this website. This is especially true in cases of objects embedded in the web pages consulted by the user. Over time, third-party services may change cookies (number, names, contents, etc.) and the Association may not become aware of them in a short time. This may lead to some differences between this cookie policy and the real situation.

 

The Association undertakes to use the data generated by the cookies exclusively for the purposes indicated above. The same is not responsible for the data processing carried out by Google with the system described above, limiting itself to taking note of the assurances provided by the same. The data generated by the cookies about the use of the website by the user (including the IP address) are transmitted and stored on Google’s servers. Google uses this data in order to analyze the browsing habits of this site and provide the Association with reports on visits to it. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where this is required by law or where such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google.
